EXQUISITE ming style sofa in EXQUISITE condition!!
This sofa, when it rarely appears for sale, is generally attributed to Michael Taylor for Baker - this one retains its original Century furniture label and is part of the coveted Chin Hua collection designed by the esteemed and award-winning designer Raymond Sobota.
HEAVY (!) Black lacquer ming style frame and base with Chinese Chippendale style fret work in the open arms and back - the creamy off-white Asian fabric is original and in exceptional condition. There is only one slight mark on the back of one of the reversible pillows.
This was very costly when new almost 50 years ago and because of that, it has been scrupulously cared for… Vacuumed with regularity and RARELY sat upon. Prideful care is evident in the
Flawless long bench seat... Lustrous black lacquer ...
