IKEA calls this colorway "black-brown/knissa light beige." As beiges go, though, it's more of a grey. (Which is nice.)

You could make things even better on yourself with an ottoman, which Mr. Ikea himself will sell you for about $80. Or adapt something else, like an ottoman you already have, or a slow-moving pet.
