Very similar to all the expensive Danish rattan coffee tables except the construction appears to be much older, more primitive.
Top has raised, wavy areas to the grain in a couple spots from moisture/spills. You could probably buff the top down with a random orbital sander and hit it with a little teak or linseed oil and make it look better, or just use it as is.
