Oil with frame measures approx. 28 1/2" x 34 1/2". Signed by Lee K. Parkinson. No. 597 and year 1975 . Framed by Parkinson's Custom Framing . I am the original owner and purchased this painting in an art gallery in Taos, N.M., around 1977-1978. It is in MINT condition !! Mr. Parkinson had a way of bringing his paintings to life, which I tried to show in my photos. This is a true masterpiece !! I am selling other original oil paintings listed under "general" category. Lee K. Parkinson, artist, teacher, and lecturer, spend nearly all of his years in the West, receiving his art education in Los Angeles in the 1930's and studing also at the Chicago Institute of Art. After graduation he joined the art and model department at Universal Studios where he was influenced by Millard Sheets, the watercolorist, and later influenced by Joe Packer, a roping cowboy artist. Mr. Parkinson died Dec. 14th 2000, in Ogden, Utah, at the age of 87. His works hang primarily in many galleries in the west and his paintings are in private collections throughout the world.
