Description:
This is a basic lawn mower made by Murray, and powered by the classic Briggs and Stratton 158cc engine. It's very reliable with easy starting: 2-3 pushes on the primer bulb, and then 1-2 pulls to get it going. It's small, lite weight, easy to push, and has a 20" cutting diameter. There's only 1 cutting height (2.5" - 3") but that's usually not a problem because most folks don't care to change it.
This mower sells for about $299 when new. I'm asking only $125 which is a really good deal because it's in EXCELLENT running condition. I'll give you a $5 credit if you give me a non-working, gas powered yard tool, such as a mower, weed eater, blower, chainsaw, etc.
The Good:
(*) Easy starting: 2-3 pushes on the primer bulb, and then 1-2 pulls.
(*) Brand new spark plug.
(*) Brand new primer bulb.
(*) Fresh oil change: Full Synthetic 10W30.
(*) Air filter cleaned and serviced.
(*) Cutting blade removed, sharpened, and balanced.
(*) Gas tank removed and flushed out.
(*) Brand new diaphragm and gasket installed in carburetor.
(*) Zone cable removed and lubricated (prevents breaking).
(*) Each wheel removed and axle grease applied: For smooooth pushing.
(*) Comes with a full tank of gas.
(*) Ready for immediate work.
The Bad:
(*) Not self-propelled.
(*) Only 1 cutting level (2.5" - 3").
(*) Paint has been scratched off on the front and side, but that has no effect on its performance.
The Rest of the Story:
I tinker on small engines and occasionally get broke ones to work on. This one had a bad engine, so I replaced it with a good one that was in a bad frame. I performed maintenance as necessary and checked everything out. Then I did a tune-up, sharpened the blade, and now it's ready to go.
I did all the work myself so I can proudly vouch for this mower: It's all good! I expect this mower to provide good service for a long time.
I'm located in a neighborhood called Austin's Colony, which is just off of MLK (same as FM-969) about a mile east of the TX-130 Toll Road.
I can be available just about anytime, any day. Just let me know when you'd like to come out and have a look.
