NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER OWNED A MULE. EXPERIENCED MULE OWNERS ONLY!*

Meet Hughes – A Beautiful Cremello John Mule
Approx. 5 Years Old | Stands ~14hh
Hughes is a striking cremello mule with a calm presence and a ton of potential. He’s about 5 years old and has a solid foundation to become an exceptional partner for someone with time and patience. He's a true head-turner and will make a fantastic project for the right person.

🌟 The Good Stuff:
* Stands tied
* Green broke – saddles easily cinches up w no problem no buck, rear, or kick (just a little nervous on the ground)
* Loads well
* Eager & willing in new situations
* Learns quickly – a smart and sensitive guy
* Great with other animals – dogs, cats, horses, and other mules
* Calm on walks – I’ve taken him down roads and into new environments, and he handled everything like a champ
* Previous owners sat on him a few times (I haven’t yet, so can’t confirm under saddle)
* poops in one spot!🤣

🛠️ Still a Work in Progress:
* little hard to catch – just needs to build trust
* Still learning to pick up all four feet
* Currently working on round pen groundwork

Background:
Hughes clearly had some handling in his past, but it wasn’t always positive. Like many mules, he remembers poor treatment, so trust takes time. However, once you’ve earned that trust, Hughes will give you his whole heart. He’s made huge strides in a short time – within a week of owning him, I could saddle him, walk him onto the porch, and even bring him inside the house. He’s curious, kind, and ready to bond.

Why I'm Selling:
sadly don’t have the time to give Hughes what he deserves. I would definitely keep him & train him up more if i could! He’s got superstar potential and just needs someone who can give him consistency, time, and miles.

Ideal Home:
Hughes would thrive with someone who had experience with mules. would be ideal for a consistent home! Mules are completely different from horses
