Massey Ferguson model 65 Project Tractor - $1,500 (Elgin, Texas)

This is a 1958 MF 65 model.
--54 horsepower, 4 cylinder gasoline engine
--6 speed manual transmission. Has high and low ranges.
--New front tires that have never been used
--Rear tires are fairly new. Came from a newer John Deere tractor front.
--New Clutch and pressure plate
--New Seat
--Comes with lots of new uninstalled parts--gauges, decals, tune up kit, belts, hoses, paint, etc. Enough to make it look like a new one when complete.
I bought the tractor about 3 years ago in non running condition. Here is a partial list of repairs and improvements:
--new clutch and pressure plate
--adjusted valves
--cleaned fuel system tank, carburetor, etc.
--installed new fuel shut off and bowl on tank
--installed new tires
--pressure washed everything
--installed new hoses on power steering
--new battery
The tractor does run and drive. But the wiring and ignition switch have not been connected. Buyer will need to paint and assemble the sheet metal and decals. Some body panels will need some straightening.
Price is $1,500 cash. Over $1,800 invested. Retail seems to be about $4,000 when painted and complete.
