These ducks are great foragers and insect or snail eaters and they will seek out many types of insects and grubs in your gardens or pond.
Drakes can be very friendly and outgoing, are much quieter than the girls, eat much less and therefore I poo much less than the girls.
Drakes make good pets and several drakes usually get along with each other as best if friends, unlike roosters.

They learn quickly and can make great pets.
These breeds of ducks do not fly more than a few yards.
Adult ducks can handle cold temperatures even below 15F as long as they have liquid water, food, and deep and 4” or more dry bedding to settle their feet into such as flake pine shavings on cold nights.
Ducks need a predator-safe place to stay at night and at least a kiddie pool with clean water for their frequent baths.
While ducks love to play in dirt and mud, they like to clean up frequently.
Frequent baths and their hydrophobic oils make ducks unlikely to incur mite problems like chickens.
