I can absolutely see this necklace being unearthed from an archeological dig somewhere along the Mediterranean coast; maybe Athens, Sparta or Corinth.
The medallion is the focal point: a warm gold disk worked with concentric rings and tiny filigree details that catch the light, and at its center sits a smooth, deep sea green cabochon.
The tiny turquoise crystals add soft pops of blue along each of the three tiers of the necklace.
I’m sure I am somehow mixing up my ancient civilizations, but it reminds me of a sundial.
Either way, this necklace is completely unique and is sure to garner double takes; along with many compliments.
