We are seeking a certified welder:
Key Responsibilities
Blueprint Interpretation: Analyze technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to understand project requirements.
Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines, torches, and power tools.
Welding & Fabrication: Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) using appropriate techniques.
Quality Control: Inspect welds for flaws, strength, and adherence to standards, performing visual and dimensional checks.
Material Preparation: Clean, cut, bend, and prepare metal surfaces and parts for welding.
Safety Compliance: Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all OSHA and company safety rules.
Maintenance: Keep welding equipment and work areas clean and in good working order.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Certification: Valid welding certification from an accredited institution.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick welding, and using various hand and power tools.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for precision and quality.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations and make adjustments.
Work Environment
Manufacturing plants, construction sites, shipyards, fabrication shops, power plants.
Can involve working at heights, in tight spaces, or in various weather conditions.
