BigDecks builds large real wood decks and outdoor spaces across Austin. Real wood. Size matters. We're adding a helper to the crew.
The job
This is grunt work. Haul, move, shovel, repeat. You work alongside our carpenters and crew on active job sites doing the heavy end of the build:
Decks: haul and stage lumber, dig, mix, set posts and footings, keep the site clean.
Landscaping: move rock and material by wheelbarrow, shovel and grade, lay weed barrier, set limestone pavers.
All day, outside, in the heat. It doesn't let up. If you do it well and stay reliable, there's a trade to learn here from people who are good at it.
What we need
You've done construction or hard outdoor labor before. This is not the job to find out whether you can handle it. You can shovel, haul, and lift heavy material all day without gassing out. Show up on time, work hard, follow direction, take care of tools and materials.
Pay
$18/hour to start. $20/hour after your first week if the work is solid and you show up on time, every day. On-time and reliable is the whole test.
