Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable floor technician who can assist with floor care projects such as stripping and waxing, scrub and recoat work, machine scrubbing, burnishing, and other specialty floor cleaning tasks.
This is not a full-time position. Work will be scheduled as projects become available, which may include evenings, weekends, school closures, holidays, or after-hours work.
Responsibilities:
- Strip and wax VCT and other approved flooring surfaces
- Scrub and recoat floors as needed
- Burnish floors to restore shine
- Machine scrub hard surface floors
- Detail edges, corners, and baseboards
- Safely operate floor machines, wet vacs, burnishers, autoscrubbers, and related equipment
- Set up wet floor signs and follow safety procedures
- Move and return small items as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate with Moponic management regarding project status, supplies, and any issues found on site
Requirements:
- Previous floor care experience required
- Experience with stripping and waxing required
- Must be dependable and able to show up on time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift and move floor care equipment and supplies
-Must be able to work independently and follow instructions
- Professional appearance and communication required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in schools, churches, offices, or commercial buildings
- Experience with VCT floor care
- Ability to lead or assist with small project crews
- Knowledge of proper chemical use, dwell time, neutralizing, drying time, and finish application
Schedule:
As needed / project-based
Evening and weekend availability preferred
