We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and installation, with hands-on experience in various aspects of door installation. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently on construction sites. The Garage Door Installer will be responsible for ensuring that garage doors are installed correctly and function smoothly, providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Install garage doors and related hardware according to specifications and blueprints
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks
Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of garage door components
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installations
Fabricate components as necessary for custom installations
Carry out door hanging and trim carpentry tasks to complete installations
Ensure proper caulking and sealing of installations to prevent leaks
Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction or maintenance person roles, with a focus on door installation preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot installation issues
Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus
Experience in remodeling, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and metal stud framing is desirable
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical labor for extended periods
Knowledge of locksmithing principles is an advantage
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites
