The Landfill Gas System Technician is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the gas processing plant and landfill gas extraction systems, leachate collections systems and other related systems at TDS Landfill. The position is accountable for the ongoing monitoring of such systems, ensuring that all work adheres to safety regulations, as well as federal and state requirements.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience working at an OHSA regulated business
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to electrical systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, control systems, and instrumentation
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematics
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, on-call, overtime and holidays, as needed
- Ability to work outside during all weather conditions all year round and lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness
- At least 1 year of experience working with landfill gas extraction and/or leachate systems
- At least 1 year of experience working with natural gas processing facilities, natural gas well drilling, and/or natural gas well development
- At least 2 years of experience working at construction sites or maintenance facilities regulated
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s license;
- Safe driving record for last three years
