Duties
Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble metal frameworks and building components.
Erect metal buildings by installing steel studs, framing, siding, roofing, and other structural elements with precision and safety.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fastening, and shaping metal components.
Conduct dimensional measurements and trim carpentry tasks to ensure proper fit and finish of structural elements.
Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large metal sections or materials on-site.
Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to project timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards while interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Skills
Proven experience in metal building erection, framing, siding, roofing, and related construction trades.
Strong knowledge of schematics interpretation, and technical drawings specific to metal framing projects.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other essential construction equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during dimensional measurements and framing tasks.
Basic math skills necessary for accurate measurements and calculations in framing and layout work.
Familiarity with construction management practices including safety standards and project coordination.
