Position Summary:
Vista Lawn & Landscapes is seeking a dependable and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for our commercial and residential landscape clients. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and works efficiently to support our high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and oversee new irrigation systems, including pipe, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads
Troubleshoot and repair system issues such as leaks, wiring problems, valve failures, and poor coverage
Perform system inspections, audits, and seasonal adjustments to ensure proper operation
Program and adjust irrigation controllers for optimal performance and water conservation
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and communicate recommendations to management
Work closely with landscape crews and managers to coordinate irrigation needs on properties
Read and follow irrigation plans and layouts for accurate installation
Maintain detailed service records, including repairs, recommendations, and materials used
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with local regulations and company standards
Represent Vista Lawn & Landscapes professionally when interacting with clients on-site
Qualifications:
2+ years of irrigation experience preferred (installation and service)
Strong troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of irrigation systems and components
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple job sites
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
Preferred Certifications:
Licensed Irrigator Technician preferred or ability to become licensed within first year of employment. (if applicable)
Backflow Certification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift
Ability to dig, kneel, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather conditions
