About Us - Silvercloud Trailer Events is a Central Texas–based event rental company specializing in vintage Airstream trailers converted into mobile bars, lounges, and photo booth experiences for corporate events, festivals, and private functions. We work at high-end venues, convention centers, and outdoor events throughout Texas and occasionally beyond.
The Role- We are seeking a professional, dependable Driver / Event Installer to tow, set up, and break down our vintage trailers for events based out of Lago Vista, TX. Personal truck for towing is required. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys driving, working independently, and taking pride in well-executed logistics and presentation.
Key Responsibilities - Safely tow Airstream trailers to and from event locations with personal truck- local only (out of town events - rental truck will be provided)
Work with venue staff and event planners to position trailers correctly
Set up and break down trailers, signage, and event components
Return trailers to the warehouse after events
Sanitize and reset trailers for upcoming bookings
Maintain basic trailer condition, cleanliness, and organization
Keep simple maintenance and usage logs
Assist with light repairs, organization, and warehouse tasks as needed
Use basic tools (drill, rivet gun, hand tools) for minor fixes
Schedule & Classification
Part-time / gig-based position
Typical workdays are Thursday–Sunday but varies
Some event days may be 10–12 hours
Overnight and out-of-town travel may occur
Schedule varies based on booked events; flexibility is required
Pay - $25-$30 per hour plus fuel, (based on experience and capability)
Higher rates available for candidates with strong towing experience or CDL
Travel days and long event days are common / flat rate day
Work Environment
Primarily outdoor work
All weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Active, physical role, some manual movement of the trailer may be necessary.
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for someone who is:
Experienced towing trailers and maneuvering in tight spaces
Comfortable working independently and problem-solving onsite
Safety-minded with a calm, professional demeanor
Physically capable and mechanically inclined
Customer-service oriented and presentable at professional events
Many of our best drivers have backgrounds in commercial driving, trades, logistics, or event production.
Physical Requirements
Able to climb an 8-foot ladder
Able to lift and move full beer kegs (up to 162 lbs)
Able to hand-push trailers (~1,800 lbs) short distances into position
Able to work on ladders while lifting and installing signage
- Requirements -
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record
Texas CDL preferred, not required
Proven experience towing, backing, and parking trailers 14+ feet
Able to pass background check and drug screening
Fluent in English
Willing to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours
Willing to travel outside the Austin metro area for overnight stays
Reliable transportation to and from work
Must be insurable under Texas law
