Hi!
My name is Jade and I am currently offering lessons for Guitar, Bass, and Production (recording, mixing, and mastering) with Garageband and Logic Pro X. I have been playing music since 2002 and I have been a music teacher since 2007 and there is nothing more I love in my life than educating people about music because of the joy and spirit playing music has given me! If you have been waiting to experience the fulfillment and excitement that comes along with being a musician or audio engineer or you just want more experience in your craft, you've come to the right place!
A little about me: I have stellar credentials and have been taught by experts in each of my crafts. My music education comes from former senior educators of Oxford and Stanford and I studied audio production with the production managers of some of your favorite artists and other heavy weight producers in the music industry. I attended SAE Institute for my degree in music business and sound design and have worked for many famous artists at some of the world’s most prestigious studios and lived a rich, fulfilling life centered around music. I am a multi-instrumentalist and have recorded and produced a large trove of music throughout my lifetime with many notable artists and performed on stages I had always dreamed of playing on, including Carnegie Hall in NYC. I have been managing bands and making connections for a long time now and am friends with many of my personal heroes and key players in the music industry. I can and will make you a better musician/producer regardless of your skill level!
If you or someone you know has been itching to learn the musical language, enhance your knowledge, or just start feeling good about playing an instrument or producing, these lessons are for you! I offer lessons specifically tailored to the skill level and learning style of the student and I do my best to make the learning process a fun and rewarding experience. I have taught an age range of 6-70 years old and am currently accepting students of any age group. I do my best to make these lessons a fun, productive, and enjoyable experience for everyone! Whether it’s theory, musicianship skills, performance preparation, practice ergonomics, artistic philosophy, finding your voice as an artist, managing your workflow, you name it, I’ve got you covered! I have been a musician and teacher long enough to where if you have anything you’d like to know, I will likely have an answer that will satisfy your curiosity.
I connect with all my students using Google Meet which is completely free to use and all you need is a computer, email address, and a good internet connection. I also send class notes from what we covered, so you can collect the course material to revisit as we cover different topics. I also offer after hours support to all of my students. If you have any questions about what we’ve covered during the lessons or you’d like to request something specific the next time we meet, you can reach out to me over email and I will get back to you at my soonest possible convenience.
I always start my students with a first free lesson so you can see if it’s something that feels good for you, then, if you would like to hire me, my rate for lessons is $60 an hour for 4 lessons prepaid or $80 an hour for a one time lesson. Price is also negotiable if you are lower income. If we have a lesson planned and it is not canceled or rescheduled 48 hours in advance, it is my policy that I keep the payment for that lesson except if the lesson was canceled due to an emergency. This is in order to keep people accountable for making it to their lesson times with me, so I don't let flakey people waste my time. I accept payment through Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle but I can try to use another service if it's easier for you.
If you're interested in knowing more about me or my lessons or you'd like to acquire my services, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'm happy to talk more about these lessons or about myself so you can have a better understanding of who I am and what I'm offering! The best way to reach me is by replying to this ad on craigslist and when we start lessons together, you will have other ways to contact me as well.
Regardless of whether or not you hire me, I hope you have a good day and thanks for your time reading this! Best of luck on your journey to musical greatness!
