Assembly Technician I - Cartridge 

 $24/hour

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT THROUGH MID MARCH

Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00am–3:30pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays
• Swing Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:30pm–11:00pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays (swing shift transitions to day shift starting mid-February)

Position Summary

The Assembly Technician I is responsible for manufacturing instrumentation and consumables. The role involves working within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to develop and follow best practices for product assembly and inventory management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and clear production lines at the beginning/end of runs
• Accurately document activities and data in Batch Records and Device History Records (DHRs)
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation and records
• Assemble products according to technical instructions, drawings, and specifications
• Assess quality of parts and materials used in production
• Perform inventory of parts and tools used
• Follow all company SOPs and directives related to assembly and production
• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements
• Test and inspect finished products for quality and defects
• Maintain tools and equipment used for assembly
• Keep workspace and equipment clean and well-maintained

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience preferred OR 2+ years in a collaborative or instruction-based work environment
• Experience in an FDA-regulated or ISO manufacturing environment with GMP knowledge preferred
• Ability to reliably follow protocols, written instructions, and SOPs while meeting quality standards
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, internet, email)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail
• Adaptable to changing needs, workplace demands, and process improvements
• Capable of setting up and operating small automated machinery (training provided) and hand tools
• Experience handling small or intricate parts preferred
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive motions primarily involving computer use
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Effective communication skills required
• Occasional use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in lab, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
