Manufacturing/Production (Austin, TX)

Position Summary

The Manufacturing & Production Associate is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position may rotate between departments based on production needs and requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to meet established productivity goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and manufacturing equipment according to established procedures.
• Assemble products and components following work instructions and quality standards.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks to identify defects or nonconforming materials.
• Package finished products for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, labels, and manufacturing documentation.
• Monitor production output and report equipment issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Complete production records, quality documentation, and inventory transactions accurately.
• Assist with line changeovers, equipment setup, and preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, production, or assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment
• Experience using RF scanners or inventory management systems.
• Forklift certification (where applicable).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity required for assembly and equipment operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or production facility.
• Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, and moderate noise levels.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, or steel-toe footwear, as applicable.
• Overtime, weekends, and shift work may be required based on business needs.
