Job Description

Kelly Services is looking for Manufacturing Technicians and Engineering Technicians to join our team in Austin, TX. These roles involve hands-on work assembling, testing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies and components in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Technician

• Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts, and wire lists, plus written and verbal instructions to build, repair, and test assemblies and components.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot errors, and complete repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment, following all company safety standards and procedures.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement tools, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test components and assemblies.
• Log work progress, labor, and expense details via computer systems.
• Audit and inspect received parts, ensuring all components are available and defect-free; troubleshoot and seek process improvements.

Engineering Technician

• Perform routine to moderately complex technical functions: design, fabrication, assembly, modification, troubleshooting, and testing of electronics/electro-mechanical systems.
• Install and upgrade new systems at both component and system levels.
• Create and maintain accurate logbooks and testing documentation.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Support ongoing process improvements and address any issues that arise.
• May perform rework based on test results and generate quality notifications.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Positions are physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs/ladders.
• Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and noisy environments.
• Use of hand and power tools required; may drive or operate forklifts or other heavy machinery.
• Clean room work may be required; appropriate PPE (coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, face shields) must be worn.
