Texas Fixtures & Interiors is currently seeking a Beam Saw Operator to join our team.
Beam Saw Operator job duties
• Unload and load materials from freight trucks using a forklift.
• Transfer materials to the table by operating a forklift.
• Measure and cut materials according to predetermined measurements.
• Off-load materials and record piece marks for tracking and quality purposes.
• Identify materials based on the cut list and ensure proper selection.
• Maintain control of materials throughout the process.
• Provide written documentation for cut lists to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Perform machine maintenance, including regular preventative maintenance weekly and monthly.
• Practice good housekeeping skills by properly disposing of waste according to shop policies.
• Follow and understand all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Required Competencies
The Beam Saw Operator at TFI should possess the following competencies:
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Proficient in using a tape measure to determine material widths and thickness.
• Able to interpret and read dimensional drawings and cut lists accurately.
• Basic computer skills to navigate in Windows operating systems.
• Competency in machine operations for Beam Saw, including turning on, manual movement, and powering down.
• Ability to provide machine diagnostics and troubleshooting, including basic programming.
• Previous experience with similar machines is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills and fluency for the responsibilities assigned.
Salary
Pay based on experience.
Work Schedule
TFI currently operates Monday through Friday, with overtime and Saturday work as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
