This is a great sounding 60s Ampeg Gemini 1, recently serviced with a fresh bill of health. Newer Weber 12A125-0 AlNiCo speaker, which is a great match for this amp. Rated at around 22W, this was Ampeg’s answer to the Fender Deluxe Reverb.
Cosmetically it has been through it, with tears in the tolex, missing tolex on the bottom, and pieces of the Ampeg logo missing. All signs of many years making music in clubs.
Reverb and tremolo are fantastic sounding, with a different flavor than a Fender. With the Weber speaker, the amp has a fantastic warm, 3D clean sound. When pushed, the natural tube overdrive is fat and complex.
