"The Harness", Version 1, power amp to line level interface, hand made by Allan Holdsworth in the mid 1990's for sale. Second owner. Kept in my home studio only. This modern version was designed for use with high gain/master volume amplifiers like Mesa Boogie etc. This reactive load lets you push your amp volume higher, yet by reducing the signal to line level you can achieve maximum saturation at a lower volume. Allan also hand built the "Harness Il" version for "Vintage"non-master volume amps like older Marshall and Fender amps. THIS UNIT LISTED FOR SALE IS DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH MASTER VOLUME AMPS ONLY!
The Harness takes the place of the guitar speaker and [silently] converts a guitar amp speaker output to a line level output with level control. It's meant to be used with an 8 ohm to 160hm speaker output impedance from the guitar amp. It can also be used wired in parallel with a speaker. Proper attention must be paid to overall speaker impedance for safe operation of the amplifier. It is essential to read and understand the included
