For sale is an 1997 Epiphone Sheraton II in the rare Alpine White finish.
This instrument was built at the Samick factory in South Korea (Serial: S97040772), widely considered the golden era for Epiphone semi-hollow production.
Unlike modern versions, this 1997 model features a premium 5-piece maple/walnut neck and multi-ply fretboard binding.
The Alpine White finish has aged beautifully over the last 29 years into a creamy vintage ivory color. The paint job and hardware are all in really great shape.
Other Sheraton II's with this finish are fetching up to $1000 online.
I'm setting the price well below this because it has a grounding issue.
Basically the neck pickup volume can't be completely turned off unless both of its volume and tone knobs are rolled off. If you are handy with guitars it boils down to just a wire that needs to be re-soldered. A tech should be able to fix it for around $150. I honestly never cared to fix it, it never was an issue for me. Aside from this ground wire issue, all other controls, the bridge pickup, and the jack work perfectly.
Priced to sell "as-is".
