Scanning:
The machine scans the guitar's fretboard to create a 3D map of the frets and the neck's relief under string tension.
Analysis:
It compares the scanned data to optimum values, identifying areas that are high or low.
Correction:
A robotic grinding wheel makes precise, multi-pass adjustments to level and crown the frets to match the desired specifications.
Benefits of getting a guitar "plek'd"
Improved playability: It leads to lower action and a more comfortable feel across the entire neck.
Reduced fret buzz: The precise leveling eliminates the unevenness that can cause buzzing.
Uniform results: Every fret is set to the same height, which improves intonation and sustain.
Comes with original case, strap, and two magazines with articles about this guitar and the original Harrison.
