MXL V69ME tube condenser mic with a 1965 Great Britain Knight-branded Mullard 12AT7/ECC81 NOS tube upgrade. Excellent, reliable, ready to track.

Actual items pictured. Tubes are clean, noise floor low, and polar pattern stable. No issues or quirks.

Kept stored in a controlled studio environment, never traveled.

Includes original power supply, original tube + upgraded NOS tube, cables, mount, and case.

Bought as a “poor man’s” Sony C800G before the clones hit the market. The NOS tube upgrade gets it even closer—delivering full, forward, clean presence without harshness. Performs exactly as expected.

Not thrilled to part with it, just not recording much these days. Excellent, reliable, ready to track.
