Compare to a new mahogany Model M at about $136,100 plus 8-1/4% sales tax. A bargain at only $19,500.
Beautiful dark brown mahogany.

Excellent condition.

Touch and tone are extremely good.

1937 was a fabulous year for Steinways with a superior sound to the new Steinways due to factors including the type of wood used for the sound board. They used a different spruce back then that gives a sweeter sound.

From Old West Austin home in central Austin.
