Project mic preamp channel strip. Includes pin assignment and schematic docs. Never tested so not sure how it functions.
The Tesla EJU 124 is a vintage, highly regarded channel strip salvaged from the legendary Tesla EMP 124 mixing consoles built in Czechoslovakia during the 1980s. It is celebrated in audio engineering and music production for its classic discrete preamplifier and highly musical Pultec-style equalizer.
Key Specifications
Preamp: Transformer-based transistor preamp with a large amount of gain (approximately 65dB to 70dB), providing plenty of headroom for ribbon, dynamic, and condenser microphones.
Equalizer: Passive, inductor-based Pultec-style 3-band EQ with sweepable midrange frequencies.
Transformers: Equipped with premium, vintage Haufe permalloy input and output transformers.
Rebuilding: Because they were originally part of a massive desk, these channel strips are almost exclusively found as "pro-racked" custom conversions to a modern 1U or 2U 19-inch rack unit, which typically include added features like +48v phantom power and an external or built-in power supply.
