Up for sale is my barely-used, mint condition Torso Electronics Algorithmic Sequencer. Appearance-wise, it is indistinguishable from new, and perfectly functional. Updated to the latest firmware, version 2.1.3. Includes the original box along with a USB C to A cable and a TRS-to-5-pin MIDI adapter.
This is how Torso Electronics describes it:
“The T1 is an algorithmic sequencer for developing and evolving musical ideas. Designed for studio use and live performance, it brings generative sequencing into an immediate, hands-on workflow with a playful approach to rhythm, melody, and variation.”
Here are the key features:
* Powerful algorithmic sequencer for rhythms, melodies, and harmonies
* 16 polyphonic tracks
* 16 banks with 16 patterns in each
* Based on a Euclidean rhythm generator with step editing functionality
* Melody creation via looped random sequences
* Built-in quantizer with option for user-customizable scales
* Voice-leading algorithms for musical chord progressions
* Comprehensive randomization options
* MIDI via TRS and USB
* Analog clock I/O
* 2 Gate and 4 CV outputs
* CV input
* Support for Ableton Link
It is compact (12” L x 4.5” W x 1.5” H) and lightweight: 1.9 lb.
This unit really lends itself to random, Euclidean and other types of generative sequencing. It is well-suited for live jamming but is also a useful studio tool.
I have been monitoring prices for these for a little while now, so I already know my asking price is very competitive. Grab it now, before someone else does! Don’t waste your time and mine making a lowball offer. I’m not desperate, and I’m not stupid.
Not really looking for a trade, but I’m open to considering one or more high-end reverb, delay or modulation pedals (e.g., Strymon Big Sky), or maybe a high-end keyboard amp. NO SHIPPING. Local pickup, drop-off or meetup in the greater Austin area. Cash preferred, but I will accept Venmo or CashApp.
