A Fender Vintera iii Mid 60s Jaguar in Sherwood Green finish. I bought this guitar a short time ago because the finish is absolutely gorgeous and it reviewed especially well online. The only problem is... I already have a Jaguar that I've loved playing for over two years now! After a couple weeks of enjoying playing and ogling at this new one, I came to my senses and realized, I can probably invest money into other aspects of my rig and/or life.
I bought this guitar from EGAguitars on Reverb this year. This guitar is assembled from Fender B-stock parts, hence the USED stamp on the back of the headstock and cosmetic damage: a small blemish on the neck by the low E on the first fret, finish crack by the treble side of the neck plate, missing paint beneath finish in the top horn by the neck pocket, and finish chip at the top of the headstock.
Recently shielded the body cavity with copper foil tape, threw some new D'addario NYXL 11-49 strings (my minimum preference for the 24" short-scale & the soldered strings prevent the offset tremolo from breaking the string from the ball end), and did a setup to my liking: adjusted the truss rod, lubed the nut, string tree, and bridge, intonated, and set the tremolo to work with the lock. The guitar really sings whether plugged or unplugged. You get the characteristic Jaguar "ice pick" sound with a little bit of twang, and the tone knob + rhythm circuit provide a very extensive range of single-coil sounds.
If you've been looking for a Fender offset, this is for you!
