3/4 William Lewis & Son Orchestra model plywood upright bass. This bass has a deep dark tone like many older mid century William Lewis basses have, and it excels at the jazz/nascent rock n roll sounds of it's era.
It has seen a lot of gigs, as evidenced of it's gorgeous patina and character, and has survived it all with no structural/performance issues. Since being in my use as my main stable it has played gigs in all kinds of weather extremes, be it 17 F outdoors, 107 F outdoors, rain, approaching blizzard winds in the rockies, and never failed to stay strong and produce that William Lewis & Son tone.
Ebony fingerboard, maple bridge with all maple adjusters custom made by Robbie McIntosh in upstate NY using his patented process.
If you need a solid bass to carry you through the weeds and wild of a gigging musician's life, this is the bass for you.
It will be sold with the well used and just functional soft case featured in pics in this add.
