Thanks for looking at the ad! This is a great playing Bach Model 37 Bb Trumpet. Serial number indicates it was made right around 1983, which was a great vintage for Bach. The 1st valve trigger adds a little mass to the horn and it has lots of core in the sound. Some very cool finger buttons were added and enhance the look nicely. There is clearly some hand wear on the silver here and there. I did my best to take plenty of pics. Nothing unusual for a horn of this vintage. Would be a great trumpet for any school band in Texas. It's not going to win a beauty contest but it is still a great example of the horns being made by Bach in this era. The case is not original to the horn, but it's a solid Bach Stradivarius case and both the top and side handles are good and solid. The case is very protective and has separate compartments for lubricants and mutes (like pro cases had back in the bad old days, haha).
A brand new Bach Stradivarius Model 37 at Sweetwater is $3,779 and the 1st valve trigger (like this one has) is a $300 option, so $4,079. Bach was making some very good trumpets in this era and this one is a player.
Preference is definitely a local, cash sale and meeting in a public location.
