Dietz Q-Metric Parametric Equalizer. These were manufactured in the 80's I believe, by heart of Texas Music. They are somewhat rare to find. If this one could talk, it probably has some stories? I replaced the power cord and replaced a bunch of electrolytic caps inside. The EQ section works as it should (although I find it a bit "crunchy" sounding - not exactly lo-fi, but some harmonic distortion for sure, dependent on how hard you push it) using the unbalanced (TS) "preamp bypass" jacks on the back of the unit. I was not able to get the preamp section working. It's an IC based preamp and to be honest, I was not too concerned because it's probably nothing I was ever going to use anyway. So I didn't really even spend any time on it. But the EQ section is interesting... and quite capable of mangling stuff if you like that sort of thing.
