Making some good vibrations on a Sunday afternoon. A good way to improve or keep your skills and enjoy making some music with a little help from your friends. Revisit some of the good tunes of the 50-70's. Not so loud or fast "unplugged" versions if you will. Think of "Layla" unplugged or of the Johnny Cash covers the way they were recorded on the American series. Maybe Tom Petty acoustic covers and the like. We have been doing this off and on for the last few years and it always interesting, sometimes even fun. I realize the term "fun" can become somewhat nebulous as you age. On occasion guys that have met here have become band mates or formed new groups. One thing we don't need to do is play the songs that have been played ad nauseam by every bar band you ever heard. A nice room (can fit 5-6) with drums, amps, bass rig, pa and mics. Bring your own amp if you like just make it small. No Marshalls on 11.Keys small/compact. We have some players that are semi-regulars,others that come over on occasion. You don't have to be first chair, or read. But you must be able to change keys if asked without your brain melting down. Cheers!
