We play primarily rock/pop (pep band) charts and rehearse Sundays 5:30 to 7:30 in a climate-controlled facility off of Airport and Springdale Road. Most recently we’ve played at the Anderson Mill Pub Showcase, Central Market Holiday Performance, the Texas German Historical Society Christmas Bazaar, with other 2025 performances at Rentsch Brewery, TCMF, Cap City 10k, and the City of Leander’s “Vintage Vibes”
We are gearing up for an exciting 2026 and have some really cool dates in the works including, TCMF, guest performances at St Edwards University Basketball Games, Cap City 10k, Batch Brewery, Anderson Mill Pub, Central Market to name a few
The types of players we are looking for are folks:
Those that have a love for marching/pep band music
Can read concert C through Db (bonus if you can get around the circle of 5ths)
Good reading skills
Have a solid horn
Understand the meaning of teamwork/playing for the ensemble
And just being a great person!
No fees or auditions but a clip of your playing would be greatly appreciated.
We fully understand that people have lives and encourage that balance. We rehearse (almost) every Sunday and ask those interested to commit to at least 2 rehearsals a month to help maintain group consistency.
Our members have affiliations with many other bands around the Austin area so this could also serve as a springboard to other ensembles if you’re wanting to diversity your repertoire.
