Hi, we are an original/cover band looking for a drummer that is well versed and dynamic. Preferably older and interested in playing gigs 2-4 times per month. We all live in South Austin. We currently have been practicing, but our drummer lives out of town and we would like to find someone in South Austin that is willing to practice once a week. We consist of a lead guitar, vocals/rhythm guitar/ song writer, bass guitar/ song writer. We are in our early 60s and are talented musicians. We are doing originals of a Southern Rock style and some rock and country covers. We would like to be able to be making some money with it but not trying to become a touring band. We have practice spaces and our bass player has a recording studio. We are in need of a good drummer that can get into the groove with us as well as be dynamic. The majority of what we play is hard Rock, but we also like to play music that is popular in the bars, including country from the 70s and after. We aren't a Skynrd type cover band. We have our own style and sound. It's important to us to keep things fun and work together with no egomaniacs. Our music is going to be somewhat demanding for a drummer, not as in... you got to do it my way... but, as in, youre gonna have to be good!!!
