Want to be a part of something laid back but unique. We are The Smokin' Burnouts and we have been around for thirteen years.
We recently lost our Mariachi trumpet player and are currently working in a new drummer and brand new set list. We play about 99% originals with a offbeat cover now and then. We blend punk, spaghetti western, swampy blues and rocknroll into one big sound.
Up front - we don't make any money (when we do, you'll get an even split) and we don't tour. We may do an out of town show now and then, perhaps San Antonio. We only practice once a week at Space, ATX and gig out 1-2x a month. We are in our 40's - early 60's, but you don't have to be. Male or female. Still we want someone who is dependable and can play their instrument. Back up vocals a plus but not necessary. We are interested in a person that can play trumpet OR piano (Rhodes/organ sound) OR accordian OR Lap steel OR fiddle or a combination of any. Something that adds a unique characteristic to the rock n roll that we play. What you got?
