If the idea of sleeping on floors and traveling around the country playing music keeps you awake at night with excitement then you are who I want to talk to. I'm looking for someone who wants to work hard, sleep on coaches, and doesn't mind being uncomfortable in order to push their art to the next level and have some incredible experiences.
I'm looking for a singer and co-writer for a new indie rock/electronic band. Mainly someone who is interested in creating new and original music and wants to invest their creative efforts on a project that really means something to them. I live in New York City, but if you live somewhere else that's fine. I can relocate or travel anywhere that I need to be (more on that in the "about me" section). I'm open to musical input, new ideas, and am actively seeking collaboration.
I moved to New York City on November 2nd, 2018 after living in Nashville, TN for 4 years working as a music producer and recording engineer. I really enjoyed my time in Nashville, but after a few years I felt like the music production work I was doing was preventing me from spending time on original and creative projects as well as working towards bigger musical goals. I taught myself computer programming and got a part time remote job as a web developer in order to give me the freedom to work on my own music as well as the ability to travel around and tour. Now I'm looking for other like minded musicians to form a band with and really give it the time, attention, and effort needed to be successful. My musical strengths are playing guitar, music production, and writing music (especially creating the instrumental track).
Some of the qualities in a vocalist I'm looking for are:
-Strong lyricist/melody writer
-Has a flexible schedule and is dedicated to making a band a full time commitment
-Someone who has the flexibility to travel for touring
--Note: As long as you're motivated and dedicated I can help you put together a plan to achieve this. Even if you aren't interested in working together, feel free to reach out if working remotely appeals to you. I think having freedom over your life and work is really important and I would love to help out in whatever way I can.
-Outgoing and social, likes to connect with people
-Graphic design skills
-Can also play bass or guitar
If this sounds like something you would be interested in or have any questions send me an email and we can go from there!
I love meeting new people so if you like the music and just feel like reaching out I'd be happy to hear from you as well =).
