This handsome boy needs a new home.
His parents recently had a premature baby and aren't able to care for him fully.
He is incredibly sweet and shows no signs of aggression towards humans or dogs. He does come on strong to other dogs which is usually fine for larger dogs but is scary to smaller, more timid dogs.
He is an 11/12 month-ish American Bulldog/Pitbull Mix. He is about 70lbs.
He was found on the streets several months ago in bad condition and with no luck finding his original owners, I found him a new home. He is much healthier, stronger, and happier now, but will be even more so in his new home.
His new parents recently found out he's too hyperactive and unaware of his size and strength to be safe around small kids until he goes through some more training. He's incredibly sweet, but he is a puppy so he's very energetic, and his attention is hard to hold when training. He loves attention. He's very friendly and loves to meet new people and dogs his own size. I haven't been able to socialize him with cats or other animals.
He would fit perfectly in a family with no or children 10+, a sizable yard, and only medium/big dogs. He is currently unneutered, unchipped, and unvaccinated. He is house trained, pulls a bit on leash but is generally well behaved, and understands sit and lie commands.
I can't keep him in my apartment due to pet policies but am willing to help his new family with training and veterinary requirements. I am in north Austin near N Lamar and Airport.
