Failure of the ABS module will cause the ABS and Brake warning lights to be illuminated and the Antilock brake system will not function until the unit is repaired or replaced. Texas requires the red brake lamp to be off before a state inspection can be completed.
Another common failure of the ABS module is causing the ABS pump to be running all the time, even with the key off. You will need to remove the ABS fuse to prevent the ABS pump from burning out and the battery to go dead.
