Apartment Leasing Consultant - Bilingual, Min 1 yr experience (AUSTIN)

compensation: $13 to $15 per hour plus monthly performance incentives

We are seeking a bilingual Leasing Consultant with proven leasing skills to assist in property operations at our apartment community. The property is a Class C community with 150+ units in North Central Austin. We are a private owner / management company which is expanding which offers employees future opportunity to grow within the company. This position is eligible for monthly performance incentives / commissions in addition to hourly pay.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and well-organized individual with superior customer service /communication skills and has at least one year of Apartment Admin / Leasing experience who can offer excellent customer service to our current and prospective residents. Experience in online marketing and social media would be a plus! All potential applicants must have a valid driver's license, Social Security Card, clean criminal background, and be able to pass a drug screening.

Desired Qualifications:

1+ years Apartment Leasing Experience required
Bilingual (English / Spanish) required
Experience with RESMAN Property Management Software preferred but not required
Demonstrated Sales and Customer Service skills
Excellent communication skills - including email, texting, and social media

Experience with MS Excel, Word
Experience with property management software
Ability to market properties to local businesses, schools, locators, and through personal communication, social media and on-line ads.

Communicates a detailed knowledge of the property, amenities and community.
Provides a daily inspection of show apartments and model appearance.
Handles all aspects of leasing apartments, including greeting prospective residents, touring the property, closing the sale, processing applications, typing leases, following up with prospects, obtains signatures for completion of leases/paperwork prior to move-in.
Assist the community director and assistant property manager with all aspects of leasing and property administration.
Collects and secures rental payments.
Inputs daily traffic information.
Adheres to company policies.
Maintains organized community office files.
Understands and maintains working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management.
Handles or assists in the receiving, recording, and preparation and follow up of work orders to facilitate residents' service requests.
Assists in the inspections of vacant apartments and takes appropriate action to prepare them for leasing.
Promotes resident retention by assisting with the renewal program.
Performs daily inspection of common areas and community amenities.
Reports any observed maintenance problem.
Must assist and attend resident functions.
Must stay informed and comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual.
Must adhere to and comply with company safety policies and rules and utilize safety appliances, as required.
Assists and assumes duties of the Assistant Property Manager, as directed / when required.
Must always be courteous and helpful to residents, prospective residents and co-workers.
Must have reliable transportation in order to conduct market surveys, attend meetings, visit area businesses, purchase and pick up supplies for resident and community functions.
Must have mode of communication in which to be contacted at home and able to respond in cases of emergency.
Must be available for weekend, holiday and evening work.
Must be willing to be assigned to other properties, as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Director.
