favorite this post Looking for Gods Calling in New Career (Current small business owner) (Austin) hide this posting unhide

For the past 7 years I have owned and operated a small printing company. We manufacture labels, stickers and tags. Selling primarily to hospitals, schools, municipalities and so forth. The business as of late has become stagnant and I am having a difficult time sustaining my family financially. Along with operating the company, I also attend an online seminary school, working towards a bachelors in Divinity. I am married with 2 children and one on the way. I am 33 years old with a perfectly clean background, no drug or alcohol use.

As difficult as it is to walk away from something I started and developed, I know that I need to put myself in the best possible position to help my family. Over the past weeks I have been praying for God to guide me onto the path that would best glorify Him and best support my family. Above all else, I want my marriage, and my family to be a reflection of Christ's church. I do not know where I am to end up, but I do feel God calling me to a different place.

I have experience in nearly all aspects of running the day to day operations of a small business. I created our website, developed our online marketing, managed the advertising campaigns, kept up with the books (using Quickbooks Pro), handled purchasing, billing, payroll, taxes, customer service, etc. I am fairly knowledgeable with excel spreadsheets. I am very familiar and experienced with Amazon and Ebay seller accounts. We have 4 employees so I have had experience with hiring, training, and developing healthy working relationships. We started with selling a few products online, and built it up to approximately 25 to 30 thousand dollars per month in total sales. I very much enjoyed the process of starting and growing a company, and regret that I may need to go in a different direction.
I also have a lot of driving experience, as I drove 18 wheelers long haul prior to starting my company.

Although the majority of my experience is in business, my passion is helping others. I would love to be a part of something that can make a real difference in the life of others, and advance God's kingdom. I do not know exactly where I am looking to go from here. I do know that after many prayers I felt led to make a posting, and I trust that God will open the appropriate door at the right time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you would be interested in contacting me, I would love to discuss any opportunities. I would also be willing to relocate if need be.
