Hatbox is a small, locally owned business, proudly serving Austin for 39 years. We will train you to be a Haberdasher for our retail shop and our Hat Shaping Events Team (for corporate and private events)!
We're looking for hard workers, to provide exceptional customer service and care about the product they're selling. We need capable, detail-oriented people, who are punctual and take pride in their work. Must be able to take/follow direction. Previous retail experience and hat knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement. A willingness and desire to learn is a must!
Job Duties would include:
-Selling hats! Working one-on-one with customers to find proper hat fit and requested hat styles
-Checking out merchandise and basic labeling in point of sales system
-Packaging merchandise and creating shipping labels
-Unpacking, sorting, tagging, and displaying new shipments of hats
-Vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and other general cleaning to keep the store tidy
Compensation starts at $10.50 per hour, going up to $11.00 per hour after training/probation period. Free on-site parking available for employees. Flexible schedules... we work well around school or other job schedules.
