Looking for a fabulous and responsible roommate to share our 4-bedroom 1-bathroom house in a prime location of the Govalle neighborhood, super walkable & bicycle-friendly. The private room available for rent is 150 square feet with wooden floors and a central A/C. You'll have access to a beautiful shared outdoor space and street parking.

About the duplex: One story duplex with 4 bedrooms on one side of the duplex. This side has a shared full bathroom, kitchen and living area. It is an older building – so if you are looking for a brand new, modern build - this is not it. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place with a lot of charm and an artistic Austin vibe – in a killer location – you’ve found it. We have a nice patio area and sizable backyard where you can enjoy coffee in the morning, reading and chilling out in the evening. We have a 2 story mural on the side of the house in the yard by one of our local artist friends.

About the location: Our place is conveniently located to allow you to experience the city's unique charm while also coming home to a cozy retreat. Walking distance from HEB, cafes like Mercado Sin Nombre, Pershing East Cafe, Luster Pearl, Central Machine Works Brewery, and Justine’s, La Holly Bar, Mama Dearest Bar, Cloud Tree art gallery – almost all the Govalle gems you can think of. Also walking distance to the trails along Lady Bird Lake. Very bike-friendly location. Public transit is easy with a Capital Metro stop across the street with electric bikes also for rent.

About us: We are a married couple and long-time Austinites (UT Alumni!), and I’m an artist with a backyard studio here where I create my artwork. We’ve been renting out the rooms on the other side of the duplex on AirBnB to help us offset living expenses (Austin’s gotten expensive y’all!). We’ve enjoyed meeting many people from AirBnB (and have gotten many great reviews), but we’ve decided it would be really nice to build a tiny community at our home of people who can be more permanent neighbors/flatmates. We’re looking for a few flatmates who are considerate, responsible, laid back (and non smoking). If interested, please email us.
