Great LOCATION!
Mountain Laurel House has one of our three housemates moving at the end of November. A wonderful space in our house is opening up December 1!
The Garden room has a large double closet, tall ceilings, and two windows onto the garden and front yard tree. The rent is $925 - all bills included - with a lease from December 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026. The Lease end date is negotiable.
Mountain Laurel House is located close to the East 11st Street dining and entertainment district, downtown Austin, the state Capitol, the University of Texas, Huston-Tillotson University. The house is on a cul de sac, a short bike ride to Lady Bird Lake and other hike and bike trails. Kayaking on Town Lake or swimming at Beautiful Barton Springs or Deep Eddy natural water swimming pools are also healthy, happy options.
Amenities in the house include a dishwasher, utility room with a clothes washer-dryer and an optional clothesline, high-speed internet, a big dining room table for meals or activities, and a large screen TV for movie nights. The yard has beautiful native wildlife/pollinator gardens, veggie beds, a large Cedar Elm, Live Oak, and a fruit-bearing Fig tree, a Champenel grape vine, and a Chili pequin bush. The cul de sac is a large park-like, green space for short walks or meditation, and one of us is active at a neighborhood garden a few streets away.
