Vintage Victorian Wicker fishing creel with aged wicker. Creel is in good used shape. The back hinges are wicker.
Can still be used, but great for display / collecting. The Creel stands on short wooden legs and has a flat top, a long wooden peg is used for the latch. It’s still attached by an old piece of string.
There is a leather strap that is included. Leather strap is well worn and disconnected on one side. It needs conditioning and reattaching.
The basket sits off the ground on four wooden legs that are about an inch tall.
Measures about 18”w by 13” deep by 13.5” tall.
I have owned this creel and use it as decor in my home for over 35 years. It was originally purchased at an English container auction.
