Selling my paddleboard! A great buy on summertime fun!
This is the Bluefin Cruise Carbon - the deluxe, stiffer version of their best selling Cruise model. This is the 12' version, which is great for moving faster on flat water, for carrying loads, be it an extra person or camping gear for an overnight trip, and for feeling stable when the water gets rough.
The specs:
12' long, 32" wide, 6" thick
Maximum load: 380lbs
Weight: 28lbs
The Cruise Carbon is built for abuse. The seams are welded and good for inflation up to 28psi, which is double what most of the cheap boards can handle, but it rides stiff even inflated to 15-17lbs. It has dual air chambers, which doesn't just make it feel stronger on the water, but provides a measure of safety when you're out in the wild. It came with a 5 year warranty, which means the company stands behind it and knows it's going to last.
I have the complete kit - board, wheeled bag, kayak conversion seat, and 3-piece paddle that can comes with the SUP and Kayak parts, to let it do either. The pump is a 3-way manual pump that can move a ton of air at the start, then shift down to take it to high pressure later on. This is one of the few manual pumps that can take a board up above 15psi without killing you. I still recommend you get an electric pump if you're going to use it regularly, but if you like the workout, this is a real pump, not a useless toy that comes with the cheap boards. The board has two mounted thruster fins (small side fins) that contribute to tracking, and the main fin is an interchangeable US Box Fin type that pops in with a hand-tightened screw. If you're interested in getting another fin type (racing, low profile, rubber), there are hundreds of them that will fit this standard box. I never felt the need to buy anything other than the one that came with it.
With inflatable paddle boards you get what you pay for, which means if you spend $300 on Amazon you're going to get a poorly made board with a crappy paddle and a terrible pump that won't track straight, will require a lot of effort to travel anywhere, and won't hold up. But at the same time, most of us don't want to spend a thousand dollars on a good board. This is your chance to get a high end board for a discounted price, with most of the summer remaining to use it.
The board has been used lightly in Ladybird Lake and the other lakes around Austin. It's always been stored indoors, never left out in the sun, and never stored damp. It's 4 years old, but looks great and is holding up like the quality piece of gear it is. New ones go for over a thousand dollars with the kayak conversion, and stay close to a grand even with discounts (and before taxes).
Feel free to email with questions, but if the ad is up, the board is still for sale. If you want to check it out, we can meet on the East side of Ladybird Lake so that you can take it out for a short paddle and use it, rather than just looking. Thanks for looking at my ad, and have a great day!
