About the room:
The 10x12 shed is finished and furnished, and has a great little AC unit. It has a full-size bed, an open closet, great lighting, and a little storage cabinet under the bed drawers. It has a beautiful view of the backyard. There is bedding for you to use if you like, built-in bookshelves, and an open closet. I included pictures with all of my things but it's just the furniture and some of the lamps that are in there now.
Your amenities:
The room has a minifridge. You will share a bathroom in the house, and are also welcome to use the outdoor composting toilet. There is a washer and dryer in the side yard. We have plenty of street parking. Google fi as well as all of the utilities are included in the rent.
Pets:
A cat that lives in your room would be welcome. A well-behaved dog would be welcome and the yard can be made enclosed.
About the house:
The house is really lovely, with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is nice and open. There are big windows throughout the whole house. All of our bedrooms are upstairs and the master bedroom is downstairs. The front yard is big and sunny with wildflowers. The backyard is gigantic, shady with a zip line, hammocks a fire pit and a trampoline.
About us:
We will all be traveling for most of the summer, but we hope to find someone we all like crossing paths with.
We are a family of 4. My two kids and their dad live here, plus an indoor-outdoor cat. She is very snuggly but also very independent. The kids are 14 and great to be with. We both mostly work from home. He is an artist and fabricator with a metal and woodworking shop in the garage. I am a writer, speaker, and teacher.
We have a lovely garden, trampoline and slackline, and a firepit. We are a mostly vegetarian household. We both love to dance. We all highly value community, integrity, beauty and fun. We are plant medicine friendly in moderation. Neither of us are major substance users. We are white, cis but deeply value diversity and have loved living with trans people, people of color, and people of different cultural backgrounds.
We may have a renter in the bus also in the backyard and a renter in the master bedroom, they are both rarely home.
Terms: Available starting immediately for to month-to-month. Rent is $799, bills included, and a $350 security deposit.
Would also be open to a weekly rental at $350/week
