You will be reading to be cast for an entry in the upcoming FRONTERAFEST, Fringe-fest contest, in Austin. The festival is in January and February of 2026. We begin reading and casting NOW!
"MORRIS & THE ROAD TO SPIRIT," a twenty-minute Dark Comedy about a bright, wide-eyed boy from rural Mississippi (MORRIS) who has dreams of finding all the answers and becoming a musician. SATAN sees his ability and tries to steal his soul. IRENE is Satan's sassy Queen.
PAY is $25. per one-hour reading session. Three or more sessions may be required.
ACTORS MUST BE ELOQUENT SPEAKERS (No street).
SATAN (Lead): a charismatic, fit, masculine Black Male, 30 - 55, with a commanding voice.
MORRIS (Supporting): a youthful (baby-faced), Black Male who can play both a 12-year-old and a 19-year-old.
IRENE (Supporting): a curvy, sexy Caucasian, or Asian woman, 21 - 35, with sass. She can have an accent or be a little "street." NO SKINNY GIRLS.
